Reminders help with both reminding and entering other useful details.
When entering transactions in the transactions screen, you also have the facility to enter reminders.
To enter a reminder, click on Memo in the transactions screen, which will then be underlined.
Then click on the space in the memo column, immediately after the transaction you want to add the notes or reminder about.
The Transaction Reminder Screen will open.
Four kinds of reminders.
These are:-
- Disputed transaction.
- Extra notes.
- Remind after date.
- Warranty reminder.
Extra Notes and Entering Tax Invoice Numbers.
In the following example, you can enter details about the repairs you done to an investment property, for further reference and taxation purposes.

Facilities to change and delete are also accessible from the Transaction Reminder screen.
That extra notes have been entered, as per the screen above, is designated by the E in the Memo column, on the transaction register.

The Red DOT designates a split transaction (i.e. there is property rent but also some expenses, namely repairs, are included in the transaction).
By clicking on the letter E, the Transaction Reminder screen will open again to reveal your extra notes.
If you have entered a reminder, one of D,E,R or W is then visible on the transaction screen, in the Memo column.
You can use such screens to enter Tax Invoice Numbers in the Reference 1 and Reference 2 columns if you wish.
Remind after date and Warranty reminders.
With an investment property or business, such as the example below, you could also enter reminders such as lease renewal dates, and dates for major bills such as rates.
It is best to enter the reminder date at an appropriate interval BEFORE it is needed.
To view any Reminders that you have, Access via Monitor and then Operation or you can Search for Reminders

Your lease reminder is there, well in advance of the date.
A further example is the following Warranty Reminder.

Set warranties reminders to check that the appliance or repair is functioning well and check before the end of the warranty period.
The D is for Disputed transaction. If a bill appears too high, or you believe an imported bank transaction is wrong, the reminder is there to alert you to attend to the matter, when you have the time. It will appear until you have resolved the transaction.
When you have resolved the matter, you return to the transaction reminder screen and delete the reminder.
